These analog processes were the only methods available to photographers for more than a century prior to the invention of digital photography, which uses electronic sensors to record images to digital media.

MULTICOLOR CYANOTYPE-ALMOST BLUE!

WORKSHOP BY: ANDRAS SOGOR

Discover the creative possibilities of Multicolor Cyanotype in this hands-on workshop designed for artists, photographers, and curious beginners alike. You will learn how to work with light-sensitive chemistry, experiment with layered exposures, and achieve rich tonal variations beyond the traditional blue print. Join us to expand your visual language and explore an alternative photographic process with contemporary applications.

BUILD YOUR OWN CAMERA

Workshop by: Florian Kopr/Marius Parghel/Buğra Kibaroğlu

Join our Camera-Making Workshop and learn how to build your own camera obscura from the ground up, understanding the essential optical principles, materials, and construction details that make it work. Beyond the mechanics, the workshop focuses on image production — from exposure control and paper selection to developing strong photographic results. We will also open a critical discussion on the concept of “delta”: the distance between idea, process, and final outcome, and how to consciously shape that gap. Guided by a uniquely complementary team of three practitioners, this workshop combines technical rigor, conceptual depth, and practical exhibition strategies — a rare opportunity not to be missed.

HANDMADE RECYCLED PAPER FOR NOBLE PHOTOGRAPHIC PROCESSES

Workshop by: Claudiu Dunga

Handmade Recycled Paper for Noble Photographic Processes: learn how to produce high-quality, hand-crafted paper specifically adapted for alternative photographic techniques. The workshop covers fiber selection, pulping, sheet formation, surface preparation, and drying methods to achieve optimal absorption and durability. Special attention is given to how paper characteristics influence tonality, contrast, and chemical reactions in processes such as cyanotype and other noble printing methods. Participants will leave with their own handmade sheets ready for photographic use, along with a clear understanding of how material choices shape the final image.
