  • Workshops in Capari are starting July 10th.
  • Zrno open day July 14th. Visitors can come to Capari, meet us and get a taste of the analog magic. At the evening, there is presentation about the work of the first cinematographers in the Balkans, the great celebrated photographers, brothers Manaki, held by Mr. Robert Jankuloski. After that, we watch a film about their work. All that in Kino Manaki, Bitola. The event is open and free for general audience.

For the main events-alternative photography workshops, we keep the same period of the year,  10-16th of July, yet this year we go even deeper in nature. We go to village of Capari, near Bitola, Macedonia. @ LINK you can see some info and pictures about the village, eng/mk. We decided to emphasize the quality of the workshops, so the workshops will last longer (7 days), yet with less participants. The tutors will have the time to do their own work, each day.

MORDANÇAGE

WORKSHOP BY SASHO ALUSHEVSKI

Mordançage is an alternative photographic process that alters silver gelatin prints to give them a degraded effect. The mordançage solution works in two ways: it chemically bleaches the print so that it can be redeveloped, and it lifts the black areas of the emulsion away from the paper giving the appearance of veils. Once the emulsion is lifted, it can then be removed or manipulated depending on the desired outcome. Areas where the emulsion was removed appear to be in relief. These prints can become oxidized during their creation, further altering the tonality of the image.

YOU WILL GET

Seven days intensive how to:

  • give your fantasy a break, and go crazy with this surreal technique
