YOU NEED: Analog (film) camera/apparatus. Any kind. If you don’t have it, sure you can lend it. Or we can lend it to you. Some basic photographic knowledge is preferred but not decisive. Ivana has been with us since the beginning as a one of our pillars. Her expertise is well known. One can learn much more from her, if willing.
Motivation to learn is key feature. If you have some BW negatives that you want to process (develop) or make positives, bring them!

Various ways to play outside (the rules of the dark) box Use your negatives and photo sensitive paper for unique ideas! From the craziest duo that can be in the analog world. Results are unexpected, the tutors are young, creative and open for all ideas!

Some analog experience is helpful but not a condition . Motivation and open mind to go crazy with this adventure! It is cool if you bring at least one or more rolls of BW negatives!

WORKSHOP BY: VJERAN HRPKA
Use your smartphone to make analog prints! Beautiful way to get hooked to analog photography, for digital shooters, Excellent mix of digital and analog. A new technique, not very well known on this planet. Exclusive on Zrno, with a wonderful teacher! Old and new. Great for beginners. No experience needed.
This is how the tutor explains it: The Fojo workshop aims to familiarize participants with the basics in the darkroom and making analog photographs. After the basics, we are embarking on a completely new adventure in which we would try to combine the incompatible, analog process and digital photography, perhaps also ubiquitous artificial intelligence (AI) and analog photography.

Both techniques are charming, magical and for serious artists.
Hard to choose from. Great advanced analog techniques. Favored by the Pictorialists. Pure craft skills to make high end art, from the obscure master of many crafts in photography. Much of his magic is unknown to the rest of the world. Even meeting him is a praise. Being taught by him is a blessing!

LUMEN PRINTING IN THE WILD
WORKSHOP BY: STIG MARLON WESTON
Eco lumen printing. cooperate with the nature to make your images. No camera needed. Just learn to approach the nature with calm respect.
Lumen printing in the wild – extraordinary approach, only @ ZRNO!
Join in the exploration of how to make photographic imprints directly from your subject onto the photo paper, outside in daylight.
Lumen printing is the process of exposing photosensitive material to enough light to create an imprint of the shadow or shape of a subject placed between the material and the light, in a similar way as a photogram, but with the material «self-developing» as a result of the long exposure.
We will experiment with the many possibilities of this simple technique and use it to photograph the landscape while we explore our surroundings on longer walks together.
YOU NEED:
Motivation to learn and explore this easy and subtle photo technique. An interest in walking and observing your surroundings from a new viewpoint. No prior photographic knowledge or personal equipment is needed.

LIQUID EMULSION Increase Your Creativity
WORKSHOP BY: MICHAEL LAUBSCH
Liquid emulsion on concrete and fabric. Make photos on unusual materials. As a side effect, learn the darkroom skills in a creative fashion.
This is how Michael describes it:This workshop is dedicated to all creative minds, who want to experiment with liquid emulsion on different surfaces. This process is something that is quite tricky, but while learning with the famous „trial and error“ method, the results can blow our minds.
What are the ingredients of our workshop?
- Discussing the technique of liquid emulsion and its history
- The process of enlarging on (mostly) any surface
- Going into detail: The steps we need to prepare the surface
- Getting creative: Starting the creative process with ideas of the participants‘ projects in collecting both photos and items to be used for the emulsion
- Photo Walk
- Darkroom session I: Developing our films
- Darkroom session II: Preparing our collected items for the development
- Darkroom session III: Enlarging our shot photo negatives on the surface of the collected material
Be patient and prepared of the fact that many things will go wrong or the results won‘t be satisfied. We all will do it again and again!!!

Polaroid art is a type of alternative photography which consists of modifying an instant picture, usually while it is being developed. The most common types of Polaroid art are the emulsion lift, the Polaroid transfer and SX-70 manipulation.
